EasyWeed Stretch – The Perfect Material for Performance Wear

Siser’s EasyWeed Stretch is the perfect heat transfer vinyl for performance wear! Performance wear is built to stretch and give athletes the freedom to move without restriction. This freedom means that most heat applied materials applied to these types of garments will buckle, delaminate or fall off completely when stretched. EasyWeed Stretch is specially formulated to stretch with the performance fabric and move with the garment. This image demonstrates the extreme stretchability that our material offers. If you’re personalizing performance fabrics of any kind, Siser has a lineup of the most popular colors that will make your designs look great! This particular design was cut on a Roland GX-24 in White EasyWeed Stretch and applied for 15 seconds at 305°F.

Have you ever used a Rayon (stretchy) cloth shirt with Siser EasyWeed HTV Stretch?

HI. Should I use this stretchable vinyl to adhere to clear umbrellas? Would you recommend heat pressing on the clear umbrellas?

    • Lily May 19, 2017 at 4:25 pm - Reply

Tiffany, regular umbrellas are usually made of nylon and I’d suggest EasyWeed™ Extra for those. However, clear umbrellas tend to be a type of plastic and shouldn’t be heat pressed. Sign vinyl would be more appropriate for your project.

Could I use Easy Weed Stretch on 80% Nylon/20% Elastane men’s Swimming pants? It feel like lycra

    • Lily September 21, 2017 at 9:29 am - Reply

Hi Colleen! With nylon blends, we only recommend EasyWeed® Extra since it has a stronger adhesive made for nylon. However, with the combination of spandex and frequent exposure to chlorine the longevity of the HTV can be unpredictable.

Can this stretch vinyl be used on winter neanies?

    • Lily October 17, 2017 at 10:16 am - Reply

      Hi Lisa!

EasyWeed® Stretch heat transfer vinyl is perfect for beanies! We actually used plain ol’ EasyWeed® in this blog post, but the process is the same, and the stretch would move with the beanie best.

Can this be used on 100% eXtreme mesh Cationic colorfast polyester 70 denier tricot mesh with moisture management finish? For basketball jerseys?

Hi Amber! Yes, EasyWeed Stretch can be applied to those kind of jerseys, but regular EasyWeed will give the best results.
