Frenchie Holmes T-Shirt with EasyWeed®

DIRECTIONS:

Step 1: Click here for the “Frenchie Holmes” design, then upload into Leonardo® Design Studio or other cutter software. Resize to fit t-shirt if needed.

Step 2: Place the EasyWeed Black onto a cutting mat with the carrier side facing down and load into your Juliet or other cutter, then adjust the cut settings appropriately. (Download the Cutter Settings Chart if you’re unsure of which cut settings to use) Perform test cuts on the edge of the material and continue adjusting the settings as needed until you dial in the proper cut settings. In your cutter software, mirror the design and cut. Remove vinyl from the cutter when finished.

Step 3: Use scissors to cut the design from the material to save any unused vinyl. Use the EasyWeeder to remove excess material from your design. Don’t forget the cavities!

Step 4: Set the temperature on the Siser Heat Press to 305°F / 150°C. Arrange the t-shirt onto the heat press platen. Pre-press the t-shirt for a few seconds to remove any wrinkles or moisture.

Step 5: Arrange the EasyWeed Black on the t-shirt. Cover with parchment paper and press for 15 seconds, then peel the carrier hot. Your new Frenchie Holmes shirt is now ready to wear!

Tips for this project:

EasyWeed is a “hot peel” material, which means you can remove the carrier immediately after pressing— but be careful of the heat!
If you do not have a heat press handy, EasyWeed can also be applied using a home iron! Set the iron to the “Cotton” or “Linen” setting and make sure the “Steam” setting is turned off.
