Siser ColorPrint Easy. The commercial.

Commercials have been around since moving pictures started appearing on television screens. They’re a great way for the broadcasters to create revenue and a great way for the entity making the commercial to get their name or product in the spotlight in front of the masses. Commercials run the gamut from incredibly uplifting and motivational (like this one from beer company Guiness) to the downright inane (like this one from “Broccoli Wad”). The 90’s were popular for the latter. When we came up with the idea to make a commercial for our latest print and cut material, ColorPrint Easy, we decided to make ours just as bad (in a good way), as the commercials of the 90’s. I set about doing tons of research and subjecting myself to watching hours of horrible commericals. In the end, we had our plan. I set about by recruiting some help from around the office. Joe jumped in to play the kid on the big wheel and Ann came aboard as the frustrated weeder. Ann managed to capture the soul of the frustrated user in the 90’s commercials perfectly! After a little bit of silly false advertising (Space Shuttle? Really?), we were ready to take on the competition… and poke a bit of fun at ourselves too! All in all, it probably took 10-12 hours from concept to completion.
